If that happens I reckon the Irish ring in will be playing for his home team very soon!

He should never have been made captain anyway and cook should have been dropped as captain years ago.

It doesn't matter anyway, looks like Sydney weather is gonna beat them instead.

KP is a complete asshole of the highest order, but I think England needs him.

They have no one else to act as an explosive force to propel the score in the first few overs.

England's problem has been that they have always been too fuckin' conservative.

Bangladesh seem to be doing ok against NZ. Taylor's the only batsman in and his strike rate is less than 60. Could be an exciting finish as NZ need 7.8 runs per over.

Phew! Damn those Bangles came close! 3 wicket win, but NZ looked ordinary really, considering their dark horse status.
Might be the inspiration they need into the finals though.

They certainly seemed to have played better before. Perhaps the swashbuckling McCullum going cheaply is a factor.

Yup, that's the problem with "narrow" teams. A form slump or two, and you're getting smoked.

The game resumes at 8.45pm. England's target is 101 in 25 overs

Afghanistan certainly gained from the rain. They wouldn't have finished 40 overs.
