Seriously though, I guess that balloons can only go as high as the atmosphere, and that might not be high enough?

The maker if the Flat Earth youtubes makes a big deal of not being able to fly from South Africa to Australia
without making intermediate stop overs in places like Dubai. Totally not true . This single page disproves that assertion

Haha, I guess that sorts that out.

A weather balloon and a smart phone are all you need to see the curvature of the planet. It's been done many times. Google "Brooklyn space program."

And yeah, as Navion pointed out, flight paths are another obvious way to prove the Earth is curved. The Egyptians figured this out several thousand years ago by looking at obelisks and comparing the lengths of the shadows to the distance between the obelisks. (See Eratosthenes for specifics) By doing this, they correctly calculated the circumference of the planet in ancient times.

if there's a non-stop that takes ten hours then it blows that theory out of the water, then...

Weather balloon eh? That's a good idea. My place needs a project people can donate to. How about a DP seismometer? Or a DP barometer?

Supposedly snipers have to account for the curvature of the earth, among myriad other factors...
